How to change an email account’s password 

1. First, sign in to your cPanel. You can do this by going to www.yourdomain.com.au:2083 and then typing in the cPanel username and password, or you can login through the Host Geek client portal, click the large green “Active Hosting” button, then the orange “cPanel logo beneath the cPanel account you wish to access.

2. Navigate to the "Email" section and click the "Email Accounts" icon.

3. To the right of the email account whose password you wish to change, click the "Password and Authentication" button.

4. You will now be prompted to enter a new password for the email account. You will be required to enter it twice to ensure that no mistakes have been made. Please note that passwords must be a minimum strength of 80 which means you’ll need to include Capitals, lower case, symbols or numbers and we recommend you don’t use dictionary words. Once you are happy with your new password, click the "Change Password" button.

 

You can also generate a password (recommended) and modify what types of characters it can include. If you choose this option please make sure you save your new password in a safe place as they can often be difficult to remember.

You have just changed the password for an email account. Be sure to keep a record of the password to avoid any problems accessing your email. Also be sure to update the email account in any mail clients or on any devices with the new password as soon as possible.
