SHOUTcast tells me that my stream is private. How do I list it in the SHOUTcast directory?

After your new SHOUTcast stream is set up and ready to use, you might find that it’s telling you that your stream will act like it’s private until it has been registered in the SHOUTcast directory.

To register your stream in the SHOUTcast directory, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to your stream’s page, which will be the IP address of the stream, followed by the port. You will find this information in the welcome email we sent you after your SHOUTcast stream was set up.
  2. You will see a menu spanning the top of the page, with the right-most option being “Server Login”. Click that button.
  3. The login username will be “Admin” (without the quotes) and the password will be the password supplied in the email we sent you after your SHOUTcast stream was set up.
  4. In the center of the following page, you will see the name of your stream, and below that, the option to “Create Authhash” Click that option.
  5. On the following page, you will be able to fill out all of the information for your public listing. Once you have completed the form, click the “Create Authhash” button.

Congratulations! You have just listed your stream in the SHOUTcast directory!
